Julien Temple takes another swing at documenting the seminal but short-lived 70s punk band, the Sex Pistols. Temple's 1980 film, The Great Rock & Roll Swindle, angered some hardcore Pistols fans for allowing the band to be seen through the erratic and unreliable prism of the band's manager, Malcolm McLaren. Temple promises that his latest documentary on the notoriously influential band will fill out the details and contextualize Sid Vicious and company. John Lydon, known as Johnny Rotten in the context of the Sex Pistols, claims this film depicts the band as it really was and not as one wished it to be. Some never seen interview footage with the late Sid Vicious highlights this latest Temple paen to the anarchic punksters.
