The French film With a Friend Like Harry tells the story of a couple named Michel and Claire who are dealing with a stressful life. The couple are facing a tough vacation, three cranky little daughter,s and the chaotic restoration of their farmhouse. In comes Harry and his wife. Harry has his heart set on helping the ambushed couple and will stop at nothing to make Michel happy. The dark comedy was written by Gilles Marchand and Dominik Mol, who also directed. The picture stars Laurent Lucas, Sergi Lopez, Mathilde Seigner and Sophie Guillemin.
Formerly known as Harry, He Is Here To Help, the film was featured at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival and at the 2000 Toronto Film Festival. Miramax Films will release the film stateside early 2001.
