After opening in second place last weekend, Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train [DSMMT] ascended to the top of the box office with an estimated $6.4 million despite tumbling 72% from its debut. The anime feature has banked $34.1 million in 10 days.
Last weekend’s champion Mortal Kombat [MK3] was dethroned to second place with $6.2 million after losing 73% of its opening weekend. The videogame adaptation has totaled $34.1 million.
Godzilla vs. Kong [GOVKO.OW] remained at the third spot with $2.7 million, bringing its total to $90.3 million.
Separation [SEPRT] debuted in fourth place with just $1.8 million. Low buzz and little marketing kept horror fans away.
