From my experience, daytrading is pretty easy and if you know when to log in, not terribly time consuming. The way I avoid frustration is
the same philosophy I have with openers: develop a short term memory and don't get too attached to anything.
I screwed up shorting BSTRD, oh well, step up to the plate next week. I missed the news that Del Toro would direct Hobbit, oh well, I will find a nice big story tomorrow. Can't cry over spilt milk. I have broken away from day trading incessantly so now I have a few of those "Show Stocks". So I will probably hold onto them until they open and I can "show" off how I bought it when it was worth nothing...of course, Price Paid Doesn't Matter (PPDM). Any stock that I paid little for and ends adjust over $100 would doubtlessly have made me three to four times more if I flipped for downward turns and then reflipped for the continued climb up. So sometimes I have "Show Stocks" that are more modest...I'll pick up a summer horror release for under $5 in February or March and watch it grow exponentially to $30 or $40. So the swings generated there also generate less profit that I could lose. Those are just smart buys.
Playing week to week is smart! You will find natural swings and the "tidal flow" in that time frame to be profitable. Keep at it!
