Like you I spent 2 years building to 20M, got invloved on boards and that is how you learn. What I like to do is get a theatre count and check what the previous film (if sequel) or actor had done in the last project. What was weekend winner from the prior year and are the two film comparable. Is there any direct competition from a holdover ( like Star Trek)? Do not be afraid to make money H$, but loses can be made up but big time adjusts are not as common. Dive in and come up with your own formula (b/c nobody has perfection) and will be looking for your gutcheck on Friday mornings! Have fun and nice question!
