need some help

I hope I'm not in the wrong forum. I used to play the HSX but dropped it,and now I'm trying to start again.I have some stocks that are held "short" whereas all others are held long. Ican't sell the "short" ones.Could someone explain to me what this means?

When you sell short you are selling something you do no have. In reality you are borrowing from someone. When you pay back that you cover. {nm} laura1818 Nov 21, 07:43
