Ready for some crazy-**** RS predictions?

Posted by: TheWeekendWarrior on Sep 18, 13:18

[MONYB]  low 20s

[ABDUC] double digits, not quite teens

[DLPHN] low teens

[KILET]  LOW SINGLE DIGITS

FUtures:

[DRMHS] high teens

[THING] same as above

(Honestly, I haven't seen a single commercial for either though granted, I haven't watched any TV for two weeks)

[RSTEL] 30 million

[PNAC3] same as above

This is the fun one...

[RUMDI] 100k.... yes, that's what it says.  I mean, that kind of number seems to signify a limited release so why even bother including it over some of the other movies... like 50/50 or What's Your Number or Ides of March or Courageous? or Footloose!?! or The Big Year.

Obviously whomever does this stuff for RS has decided to take some crazy pills to get over their ridiculously low prediction for Lion King.

Ready for some crazy-**** RS predictions? TheWeekendWarrior Sep 18, 13:18

KILET numbers seem especially low. What's the lowest opening for a Statham movie ever? And this has DeNiro and Owen as well. {nm} HarryWarden Sep 18, 13:31

Yes that number is impossibly low NRG has it tracking better than Moneyball in key demos {nm} notfabio Sep 18, 13:36

and a $30mil P&A campaign {nm} Moviesnob Sep 18, 13:36

For realz?!? {nm} HarryWarden Sep 18, 13:37

open road is regal/amc - hence they get 100% (or close) to box - notfabio might share the details {nm} Moviesnob Sep 18, 13:40

They have to split with all the non Regal and AMC playdates which there are hundreds of probably more than major distributors give {nm} notfabio Sep 18, 13:56

I would imagine both have about 25 million invested in the joint venture and of course more from others {nm} notfabio Sep 18, 14:08

dreamhouse running ads and saw ad for thing during game today. and i wouldnt be surprised by that for rum at all. islander Sep 18, 13:35

That kind of number would point to a limited release at best and that's not the case with RUMDI. Like I said, crazy pills. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Sep 18, 13:41

are we totally sure its wide-wide? or maybe contact RS and see if it was a typo {nm} islander Sep 18, 13:52

No way Killer Elite makes that little thatpj Sep 18, 13:55

Everybody really convinced MONYB will open 20+? I don't think so although it looks like a good movie. {nm} theycallmediddy Sep 18, 14:07

*Smack* grammar Sep 18, 14:52

Sorry! I always get clobbered when nf posts early Friday #s when I'm not around. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Sep 18, 15:06
