My biggest gripe (spoilers):
The League of Shadows (represented by Bane and Talia al-Ghul) has been doing this kind of thing for thousands of years (destroying "corrupt citiies").
The moment that they achieved their goal was the instant that the Fusion reactor was weaponized. They would have armed it, got the heck out of Dodge (Gotham), and detonated it. Period. End of story. THIS WAS THEIR GOAL.
Their goal was not to hang around and torment the Gotham citizens for five (FIVE!!!) months and then STILL not escape to continue the mission of the League of Shadows. Utter rubbish for it to play out this way. Every single moment that they did NOT detonate that bomb made their chances of success that much smaller, particularly when they were driving it around Gotham 24/7 in a truck out in the open - for FIVE MONTHS!!!
The very idea of it was ridiculous.
I had such high hopes for this film going into it, and I even steeled myself for the fact that I might not like it. Turns out, 24 hours later, my opinion of it is diminishing steadily.
