DL: Fox is swapping The Martian out of Thanksgiving and up to October 2nd (GRVTY slot), switching places with Victor Frankenstein Antibody Jun 10, 18:11

In this slot, "The Martian" will open against another adult-driven 3D IMAX film "The Walk"...... Peterlee Jun 10, 18:20

While they could work out something similar to Jupiter Ascending/Seventh Son where they split showtimes on the same screen... notfabio Jun 10, 18:37

whats crazy is The Walk is Tom Rothman's baby {nm} Moviesnob Jun 10, 18:38

Tom Rothman passed on "The Walk" when he was in Fox. Maybe he wants to show the film industry that he becomes more open-minded {nm} Peterlee Jun 10, 18:47

might be fox trying to screw him even if he isnt there anymore. But really, it likely got into the fall fests (Telluride, Venice, TIFF) {nm} Moviesnob Jun 10, 18:49

While Sony moving THE WALK would seem to be the best course of action, there's not really anywhere it can move and hold IMAX in 2015 notfabio Jun 10, 18:51

With IMAX's relationship with Zemeckis though, I strongly doubt they'll get any IMAX showtimes opening weekend for THE MARTIAN notfabio Jun 10, 18:40

Thank you a lot for your info! {nm} Peterlee Jun 10, 18:48

So, effectively moving from 2.0 TG day to 2.7 regular multiplier. Nice. {nm} Chateau_du_Mal_Voisin Jun 11, 06:24
