... at how indifferent the CGIJOE spots are to even sketching a narrative, and have been indifferent all year across the whole campaign. No surprise that an effects-driven summer action film would not worry the narrative details ("The Mummy Returns," "The Day After Tomorrow" or even "Pearl Harbor"; "2012" probably, too), but this campaign elevates the indifference to the next level. What elements of the plot are revealed? "France is in danger, probably, from some kind of underwater city or something, and it is up to an elite American SWAT team to... uh... jump through the Paris public transit system in order to... uh... do a 360 around the Pyramids." At some point a menacing male Scottish voice said something... uh... menacing and Scottish-sounding, but that seems to have been cut. Oh... and the unit-leader is good at witty-banter, or rather, he cannot be tricked into naming his unit when asked by another nobody, "what did you say your unit was called?"
