I'll go out on a limb and wager that she's right on both counts. BATLA gets good WOM ("Black Hawk Down meets War of the Worlds!"), among guy
s especially, and GWRRH gets bad WOM (among its target audience especially, too - and few others would consider seeing it, right?). It could work. And there's not much competition in the action segment for BATLA, nor in the sci-fi department. Perhaps guys can even get a lot of the girls to come see BATLA with them (not only dates, of course, but groups of friends), soon as the girls get wind of GWRRH being boring.
Let's see how it all pans out..
(It's interesting that NF has friends at Sony, but at the same time she probably still cares about her reputation as prognosticator - even though there are those who'd argue she has little positive reputation left.. (She seems to be doing alright, and a little notoriety didn't hurt the likes of Donald Trump, or Simon Cowell, say.. ))
