I still don't understand how that gathers information that you wouldn't get just from looking at the 20K investment.
And doing so without effectively restricting the investment to 19,998 shares. *confused* I admit that's a very slight restriction but everyone keeps harping on pennies add up in investing.
(I'm also pretty sure that you can own up to 20,000 long AND 20,000 short as the same time as I recall accidently doing that once myself. Also you've obviously been playing this longer than I have so I've asking these "dumb questions" to make sure there isn't something important I'm missing, so please don't be offended.)
