I currently am holding 636 bonds. It's nearly impossible to keep up with them.
I play the adjusts every week, and I play the news as it arrives. Sometimes I'll short or long a bond that has moved a lot in a certain direction, and that'll be for the max -1 share so that it's easier to track. (Using codes like 19994 held shares or 19997 held shares to keep track of things is very, very nice.) Every couple of weeks, I'll check them out - if they've moved sufficiently, I dump them. On rare occasions, I find it useful to review past blockbusters and see if any bonds have fallen $30 or so, potentially making them a good long-term investment.
When you have a lot of bonds, you either have to watch the news constantly or accept that you'll miss a lot of adjusts. However, you'll rip your hair out managing them all. It's a very worthwhile process, but don't go nuts watching them. There will always be a few bonds that you screw up on, so just accept it and nail the next one.
Oh, and I'm terrible with long-term bonds. I'm currently holding 14 bonds that I've lost 300K or more on. So be careful with the far out ones, or ones with no adjusts on the horizon.
