In a couple weeks, we're getting new movie from Lord and Miller (Project Hail Mary) and another movie from Radio Silence (Ready or Not 2)
Both movies have directors with their own separate star bonds, both with the exact same TAGs and the exact same upcoming adjusts (whatever that might be). Recently Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie, each made one movie on their own, and they given separate bonds. Makes sense. Meanwhile, Joel and Ethan Coen and Peter and Bobby Farrelly are regularly making their own movies but they're still sharing a single star bond and it seems a little arbitrary who gets their name based on what is coming out. Peter Farrelly basically took over the Farrellys star bond and Ethan Coen (who for the longest time wasn't even credited as director due to DGA rules) is now the COENS bond. I'm not quite sure what can be done about it, but maybe the two Radio Silence guys should just have ONE bond...and Lord and Miller should have ONE bond until they actually start doing separate projects. It's very confusing and even more annoying the fact that we're going to have four director bond adjusts on the same day from just two movies. I can see the issue with the Coens and Farrellys because you can't just keep going back and forth but will Bobby Farrelly and Joel Coen eventually get their own bonds the next time they make a movie?
