I eat out a lot, and always notice the weighty demographics. Last week, at Subway...
standing in line for my Blackforest ham sammich with lots of veggies. The woman ahead of me was getting a some kind of hot, steaming beef bits. The prep continued while the meat was getting nuked. She asked for "lots of mayo." I imagine what lots of mayo will be, and think, "Yuck, no wonder people are so unhealthy." So, the Subway gal puts on *LOTS* of mayo! It almost made me sick, just looking at it. I'm thinking the customer might say, "Whoa!" Subway gal then puts on the meat, and a few veggies, salt and pepper. She askes customer if there'll be anything else. Customer sez, "More mayo, please." ... Wow!

I agree. People want more bang for their buck these days. IHOP has huge portions for relatively cheap. {nm} Feb 27, 14:49
