A walking tour between cities is cool even if you only get a shower and nice comfy place to sleep every 48 hours. I notice 5-6 in an area. I didn't notice the distances between them. I hope you'll post some report when you get back.
And I'm really glad someone has something going on. It's kind of lonely when you're the only one posting about your own little areas of life. I really love National Parks.
I've only left the US once. Jamaica back in 1986.
USA is my Eden and have no desire to leave.
You know. The snowcoach is really loud, but when you get out and hike, you can end up being the only person is the area for hours. It's often like you have the whole park to yourself. And getting away from the noise place where I live from time to time is a must.
Enjoy the trip and soak up all the nature you can. One day, something will click and you'll be transported back to that place and life will be good again.
