I grew up in New Orleans and when my 9/10 year old football team went undefeated and was named the Dolphins...well, the Fins became my team. Never planned to move to Florida but I did and my first game in Dolphins Stadium was a Marlins (?!?) game. I have made it to quite a few games and even went to the Saints/Colts Super Bowl. I lived in Davie for a while and swore I would go to training camp...moved back to West Palm and this year...made it...only took about 9 years lol.
Now, as to Tannehill...it was clear there strategy was to have Garrard start the season and when things went bust, put Tannehill in. And Garrard looked good...he would have been better than Tannehill. Once he was injured, it was Tannehill's job. Moore is in his second year, first year in the new system. I hear he is not a good practice player but a gamer. He looked about even with Tannehill. But we hired Tannehill's head coach and adopted his offense...so Tannehill has more time in the system. He isn't going to learn anything from a 2nd year QB like he would from a vet like Garrard.
Also, Pat Devlin really came up in the coaches' estimation. So we lose Garrard's salary and just start with a buncha rookies. But Tannehill looks like a gamer. He can make some throws. Word is he is young and a bit naive but experience will only make him better. Last weekend, the team is doing well because Oakland cannot defend the hurry up/no huddle offense (Denver will eat them up). Once defenses get a handle on that (Monday Night Atlanta did pretty well), Tannehill will struggle as that was a great benefit to him in the Oakland game. We have a buncha possession receivers although Davone Bess is one of the best third receivers around.
Gonna be an interesting game. But if you have any Raiders on your fantasy team other than #17 or their TE...they look terrible and they quit playing in the third quarter.
