and that subject....could someone who understands this CBA/lockout stuff better than me answer a question?
So apparently Hockey Related Revenue (HRR) is the big sticking point. They can't even agree on what falls under that definition. So my question is, isn't that laid out in black and white somewhere?
If it is, then aren't they required to honor that document? If the owners want to change the definition, they should give something back in exchange. Maybe let the players keep their percentage where it is now in exchange for rewriting the definition.
But if HRR isn't written down in black and white, then no wonder they're going back and forth about it. Probably a good time to bring in a mediator just for that part alone.
Like I said, I don't have a firm grasp on this stuff, so I may be completely off. Thanks for reading.
