I have been discussing this with friends all morning. Netflix and social media did wonders for BB.
you don't get viewers with those kind of numbers a mere 16 episodes later (10.3M, up from 1.9M). 10.3M viewers for that show is monumental and AMC knows that.
yes, Dead is an anomaly because of the subject material, but those fans have been there for the most part since the beginning. I remember telling friends about BB in 2008 (actually dug up the old emails to prove a point with them last week) and nobody really gave it a chance at the time.
to me, it's amazing to see the success it has had this past year.

I suppose that depends on the show, but BB is a first of it's kind. As far as I can tell there has never been a show to Sep 30, 13:59
