im sure no one cares (other than mike perhaps), but I saw the NXT special last night (nxt is wwe's minor league basically)...
it was quite good actually.
i didnt know much about any of the people, but two matches stood out. sami zayn, sort of a daredevil type, vs. tyler breeze, a selfie taking update of the old gorgeous george character. match was a lot like the old ecw, quick, lots of action. i would compare it favorbaly to the classic RVD/Jerry Lynn matches from 15(!) years ago. both guys are small, and may not be able to talk well enough to make it to the main wwe shows tho
the next best match was the womens match. usually the wwe womens matches are awful, but this match was between two daughters of top wrestlers: natalya (jim the anvil neidhart) and charlotte (ric flair). a near 20 minute match was probably the best 'wrestled' womens match ive ever seen.
i probably shouldnt have paid for the wwe network. i barely watch it all, and will probably not keep it when the 6 months is up in september. but last nights show was worthwhile mostly (the main event was a weak title match between two guys who looked like they were 4' tall and 100 pounds)
