What was the first hollywood film you ever saw in IMAX? Mine was...

...the re-release of Apollo 13. Sept 2002. The film was chopped down by 20 to 25 minutes and was formatted to fit the imax screen also chopping the right and left side of the original print. This was a bad introduction to a new format of film viewing which, to this day, I find is still hit or miss. I thought of this after finishing Guardians of the Galaxy on IMAX today. A hit on IMAX for sure. Just remembering how far IMAX has come and improvements still to come was on my mind. Discuss and thx for your time.
