only 4M less than the announced box today. We have always treated the final day holiday as a "bonus" day that does not figure into the projections, but I doubt that there has never been a 4th week holdiday movie like AVNGR which will do at least 12M tomorrow.
If there is a "need" to multiply the Midnights, perhaps a formula like:
1.2 * Midnight openers + 2.7 * (Fri-Sun) (or + 2.2 * (Fri-Mon) )
might work. I doubt that this will be changed before the coming summer season, but I seriously think it shold be in place by October. I think itr will help HSX project closer to delist price.
Don't get me wrong, it is fun increasing my pile of fake cash. But the p;urpose of HSX is to provide Cantor-Fitzgerald projection date to be sold to the powers that be. If the data is skewed, what good is it?
Note that the MOVIE.OW would not be affected, because none of the amounts are being projected to delist, only the actuals.
I would like some of the experienced regulars to chime in with their thoughts, positive or negative.
