When Trading Of A Security Is "Halted".

     I hold shares in "Amelia".   I noticed that the status of those shares in regard to trading is "halted".  What happens now?  Are they cashed out, and is money put back in my account as cash, for the value of whatever the shares are worth, or am I now stuck with worthless shares?  Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks.
