Seasons end on the 15th of Jan, May and September, while years end on 31 December, so they don't match up

Back in the day, the HSX year used to end on January 15, and aligned with the seasons.  But then one New Years, the HSX holiday staff started a new HSX year on January 1, thinking they were supposed to.  Ooops!  And the HSX year has begun on Jan 1 ever since
