'Sort by Release Date' doesn't stick like sorting by column heads, why is that?

I'm starting to stack up a lot of individual securities and as the weekend draws near, I'd like to bring to the fore those that are releasing.  Having it stay on Sort by Release Date would just mean one fewer click each time I visit the site.

Love the new site, it's really becoming easier to use on a daily basis.  Also, it looks great on my iPhone browser.
