Based on a true racial hazing incident, Followers tells the story of three college freshmen who want to join the most popular fraternity on campus.
John Dietrich (Sam Trammell), Steve Trayer (Eddie Robinson), and Allen Phillips (Jerry Laurino) are all close friends until Steve is not accepted into the fraternity because he is African American. Nonetheless, John and Steve pledge the fraternity and are encouraged by the fraternity president to carry out dangerous pledge events targeted at Steve.
Jonathan Flicker directs the independent film that the recent college grad also wrote and financed. The hazing drama has also been screened on college campuses across the country as part of an anti-hazing and anti-hate awareness program.
