The drama Babel weaves together four stories set in Morocco, Mexico and Japan. Director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu and scripter Guillermo Arriaga created a film that looks at how people who speak different languages are disconnected from each other and how miscommunication can lead to tragedy. The duo previously made Amores Perros.

Thirteen NominOptions will be issued in each of the eight major categories. Each NominOption is offered at H$5.00. The NominOptions will halt trading on Monday, January 22 at 9 p.m. EST, in preparation for the announcement of the Oscar nominations by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Tuesday, January 23.
Each option of a nominated film or star will cash out at H$13.00, while those NominOptions which fail to secure a nomination will delist at H$0.00.
