Description

Zoe Saldana stars as the legendary singer-songwriter Nina Simone, while David Oyelowo plays her manager Clifton Henderson. Eunice Kathleen Waymon took her stage name and rose to fame in the 1950s as a jazz singer-pianist nicknamed the High Priestess of Soul. She joined the civil rights movement during the 1960s. The biopic is written and directed by Cynthia Mort.
