Upon graduation from Juliard in '83, Rhames immediately found acting work and began appearing on Broadway by '85. Rhames made his film debut in Casualties of War, and landed a starring role in The Long Walk Home. With his turn as the imposing Marcellus Wallace in Pulp Fiction, Rhames has since lead to roles in several prominent films.
