Description

The Saddest Music in the World is a drama-musical set during the Great Depression. An amputee beer baroness in Winnipeg, Canada, organizes a contest to find the saddest music ever heard. The reward is a $25,000 prize and the tears of millions of listeners. Isabella Rossellini stars as the baroness. Director Guy Maddin adapts from Kazuo Ishiguro's original screenplay.
