In this Alejandro Springall-helmed film, a young Mexican woman, played by Dolores Heredia, mysteriously loses her daughter when she dies while getting her tonsils removed. Thereafter a vision of St. Jude appears to the bereaved mother telling her that her daughter is not dead. She then embarks on a journey across the country in search of her daughter. The journey is liberating for her as she meets eccentric characters and ends up in perilous situations along the way.
