Summit Entertainment was originally founded in 1996 and officially launched in 1999. Summit became an independent distributor in 2007 with P2 and hit the jackpot a year later with Twilight. The success of The Twilight Saga has turned Summit into a mini-major studio with a full slate of wide reelases annually. Studio Funds delist and relist annually in September.
