Ice Cube will topline the adaptation of the 70s television show Welcome Back Kotter. The ABC series which ran from 1975-79 centered on a teacher who goes back to teach at his own inner city high school. The troubled kids gang was led by Vinnie Barbarino portrayed by a young John Travolta. Ice Cube takes the role of the teacher at the high school in South Central LA vs. the show's Brooklyn setting. The comedy is written and directed by Tom Brady.
