One of the most anticipated comic-book adaptations since Batman, X-Men features such superheroes as Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Storm (Halle Berry), Cyclops (James Marsden), Jean Grey (Famke Janssen), Rogue (Anna Paquin), and Professor X (Patrick Stewart). Born with a chromosome mutation that gives them superhuman powers, the X-Men fight for the good of the human race, although a counter-culture of X-Men led by Magneto (Ian McKellen) have an entirely different agenda. However, based on the actors' contracts who have already been cast, expect X-Men to become a potential franchise. Bryan Singer, who received critical acclaim for 1995's The Usual Suspects, is the director.
