The Weinstein Co. has debuted the teaser trailer for the sci-fi film The Giver [GIVER] based on the 1993 Lois Lowry novel. Set in a seemingly perfect, utopian society, Brenton Thwaites plays a young boy who is chosen to be the "Receiver of Memory" to learn from an elderly man, "The Giver" played by Jeff Bridges [JBRID], about the past and thus the true meaning of the life in the real world. Meryl Streep [MSTRE] and Katie Holmes [KHOLM] co-star in The Giver, set to open on August 15th.
