Written by 1994 Newbery Medal winner Lois Lowry. The Giver examines the undercurrents of a supposed utopian culture. Brenton Thwaites stars as a boy who is given the responsibilities of 'Receiver of Memories'. He goes on to study with Elders and a particular old gentleman called the Giver.
