With Star Wars: The Return of Skywalker dominating the headlines, four new films barely made a wave at the box office this weekend. Shazam! [SHAZM] repeated in first place with an estimated $25.1 million, down 53% from its opening. The DC superhero has banked $94.9 million thus far.
Little [LITLE] debuted in second place with $15.5 million. The comedy attracted an audience that was 43% African American, 65% female and 56% aged 25 or older.
Hellboy [HELB3] underperfromed at the third spot with $12.0 million. The fantasy reboot drew 56% male and 64% aged 25 or older.
Pet Sematary [PETSM] fell 59% in its sophomore weekend to $10.0 million and fourth overall. The horror remake has grossed $41.1 million.
Dumbo [DUMBO] rounded out the top five at $9.2 million, bringing its totatl to $89.9 million.
After [AFTR1] earned $6.2 million to open in eighth place. The romance skewed 76% female and 73% under 25.
Missing Link [MSLNK] bombed at the ninth spot with just $5.8 million.
