Seven years after his last film Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World hit theaters, director Peter Weir [PWEIR] is back with The Way Back [WAYBC]. Judging by the trailer, the sweeping epic looks to be well worth the wait. Inspired by a true story, a group of prisoners in 1940 escape a Soviet gulag in Siberia and journey towards British-held India thousands of miles away across Asia. Colin Farrell [CFARR], Jim Sturgess [JSTUR], Ed Harris [EHARR] and Saoirse Ronan [SRONA] star in the film, which will begin what should be a well-deserved Academy Awards-qualifying runon December 29th.
