After finishing in second for two weeks in a row, the western remake True Grit [TGRIT] overtakes Little Fockers [MPRN3] to top the weekend box office. True Grit collected an estimated $15.0 million to advance its total over $110.43 million. Little Fockers dropped down a notch with $13.8 million, bringing its cumulative gross to nearly $124 million.
Season of the Witch [SEWTC] opened in third place with $10.7 million. The medieval supernatural adventure attracted an older crowd with 62% over the age of 25.
Tron: Legacy [TRON2] finished fourth with $9.8 million to up its score to $147.9 million. Black Swan [BLKSW] placed fifth at $8.35 million.
In its first wide expansion, Country Strong [CSTRN] netted $7.3 million. Audience for the musical melodrama was 73% female.
