The Coen Brothers will direct a remake of True Grit. The film tells the story of a 14-year-old who is taken in by en elder U.S. Marshal to track down her father's killer in hostile territory. John Wayne starred in the original which was told from the Marshal's point of view, but this version centers on the daughter.
