The fourth of July holiday weekend brought little fireworks to the box office from Minions & Monsters [MNIO3], which won the weekend with a franchise low $36.4 million. The animated sequel tallied $61.44 million since opening on Wednesday.
After a 2 week reign, Toy Story 5 [TOYS5] was dethroned to second at $31.0 million. The animated sequel advanced its total to $366.35 million.
Young Washington [YWASH] opened with $20.85 million. The timely biopic about the first U.S. President got an A CinemaScore.
Supergirl [SUPGR] dropped 74% from its opening to $9.6 million to take its total to $58.47 million.
Jackass: Best and Last [JCKA6] tumbled 68% in its second weekend to $2.7 million. The sequel has collected $14.69 million.
Disclosure Day [SKIES] grossed another $6.0 million bringing its total to $105.31 million after 4 weekends.
