Whisper Numbers: Bohemian Rhapsody to crush The Nutcracker

The first weekend of November typically kicks off with a big-budget blockbuster, but this year's offering from Disney, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms [NUTFR] has been tracking poorly. The biopic about the rock band Queen stars Rami Malek [RMALE] as the late frontman Freddie Mercury.  Although director Bryan Singer [BSING] was fired during production, it's unlikely to affect the non-privy public. Queen boasts...

Whisper Numbers: Hunter Killer won’t sink Halloween

The top three finishers from last week are likely to repeat as Hollywood avoids the party-filled, pre-Halloween weekend. Although Halloween [HALW3] hasn’t been holding as well as It or The Nun during its first week, business could pick up over the weekend before the namesake holiday. Halloween could lose 65% of its opening and still finish first at around $27 million.
