Relativity has finally released the first trailer for the 1980s set comedy Take Me Home Tonight [TMHTN], which has been wrapped for years almost as long as the 80s. Topher Grace [TGRAC] stars as an aimless college grad working part time at Suncoast Video, you know, the mall chainstore that sold movies on VHS. He reconnects with his high school crush, Teresa Palmer [TPALM] looking like a young Charlize Theron, who invites him to what promises to be an epic 80s blowout party, at least since...
Universal has debuted the first trailer for the action adventure Fast Five [FFUR5], the fifth film in The Fast & The Furious franchise, on Vin Diesel's [VDIES] Facebook page. While Paul Walker [PWALK] and Jordana Brewster [JBREW] made their return to the series in the last film Fast & Furious, Tyrese Gibson [TYGIBS] and Ludacris [LUDAC] are brought back from the second film 2 Fast 2 Furious. Seen back to back with the new Pirates of the Caribbean trailer, one notices that Johnny Depp [JDEPP] screams the same way for Captain Sparrow as for the animated Rango [RANGO], a chameleon lost in the Mojave Desert. The overall production design look amazing in the CG animated film from Paramount. Far from the cartoon look typical of Pixar or DreamWorks Animation, director Gore Verbinski [GVERB] opted for a gritty feel that makes the anthropomorphic critters look even more realistic.

Disney has debuted the first trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strange Tides [PIRT4], the fourth film in the franchise that went dead creatively a couple of sequels ago. Now, it's just milking the cash cow. With the hero Will Turner and heroine Elizabeth Swann from the original trilogy gone, Johnny Depp's [JDEPP] Captain Sparrow takes center stage as he searches for the Fountain of Youth accompanied by his old frienemy Barbarosa, played by Geoffrey Rush [GRUSH], and a new foil...

The Voyage of the Dawn Trader is unlikely to make back its $150 million production cost to warrant another installment.
The combined starpower of Johnny Depp [JDEPP] and Angelina Jolie [AJOLI]...
Paramount has unfurled the first theatrical trailer for the next Marvel superhero film Thor [THOR] and it unwinds pretty much like the Comic-Con trailer. There's a bit more CG effects of the Destroyer blowing stuff up and the Thor's hammer being wielded and thrown around by the Norse god, played by Chris Hemsworth [CHEMS].
Fox looks to win the weekend box office with its fantasy pick-up The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader [NARN3], the third film in the C.S. Lewis series originally distributed by Disney. While the first installment The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe opened to $65 million five years ago on its way to $292 million, the sequel Price Caspian debuted with $55 million but finished at just $141 million. With the focus back on adventure rather than action, Walden Media hopes to...
