Comparisons at the-number.com are sort of like fuzzy math....I have looked at them for years, and I consider Bruce a friend, but I never
understand them. They are computer generated, partly based on similar openings. Some get wacky, and I cannot get the %age changes day by day.
Having said that, do not read anything into BORN3 vs FFUR3 other than that the-numbers' computer thinks that the multiplier will work similarly.
Then again, I have learned a simple rule of thumb.
a) most do not make 2.7
b) the difference of first weekend subtracted from 2nd weekend cume added to 2nd weekend cume is about the delist.
c) after the 3rd weekend, add half of the difference between the third weekend cume and the 2nd weekend cume to the 3rd to get delist.
Example:
Opener 40 Second weekend cume 70.....I project 100 (70+ (70-40) )
Third Weenend Cume 90 I Still project 100 (90 + 1/2 of (90-70) ) or 90+10
It is rough but for in the head reckoning, it works.
Now if it is 30 degrees C multiply by 2, add 30 and you get 90 F, close enough????
