new player - interested in pointers

Hi all.  New to the exchange and I was wondering if people had ideas for the best places to look for info on rumors, etc.  I have checked the sites listed on the community tab, but I don't think that can be the only place from which people cull information.  For instance, I didn't see anything about the next Superman film, but obviously there was news about it somewhere to see a jump that big today.  I would appreciate any and all tips!
