Trading recently unhalted stocks, does this strategy work?

I noticed today that movies that just finished their opening weekend and come off a halt don't really move for the whole day after the initial adjustment.  For example, The Help had a strong weekend and came off the halt up about $7.  It hasn't moved from that level the whole day even though 28 million shares traded today.  Might one look to see how many shares are long/short at the beginning of the day and then take a position using this info?
