What would the criteria be for the fund? Investing in stocks that are long term? In reality, that could be any movie in "Concept" phase, or that IPO'd today, couldn't it?
The purpose of funds (one of the purposes) is to teach newer players what a veteran player invests in by running a fund. Another reason is to give those with lots of cash somewhere to put their money. I think HSX looks at fund ideas and considers if there is a 'need' for a fund in a category they don't currently have, if it is a unique idea, or one not currently considered.
To have a fund that invest only in stocks for the long term would not help newer players since new players should not be investing in movies that are further out than 30 days or so. Sure, funds would lessen their risk for new players, but investing in stocks for the 'long term' should only be done by players who have the cash free, and this would not help newer players learn how to invest.
...just some things to think about for you, I'm not being critical of your idea.
