I have no quick reply for "quick reply" box except to say "more inside"

Thanks for the response. Lot of food for thought in it.

Glad you mentioned JSEGE. I bought that a while ago, so I fall into the first category in regards to bonds. I've been thinking it would be better to do as you mentioned and not bother with them until Mondays.

Re: news.. I'm on top of that for the course of the day, but I'm still surprised at what drops the next day (as I expect it to from profit taking) and what keeps going up for a day or two. I know I'm missing out on profit there, but I have yet to find a good metric for discerning what to keep a little longer and what to flip (or outright dump).

Right now I'm sitting on 83M in cash and I have no idea where to put it. Obviously it all can't all go to bonds or news or even into this week's openers. People say move your money around, but I just hit a brick wall when it comes to where to move it to for real growth, not just slow gains.

Before, I've gone the route of putting a lot into openers not too far off into the future, but it seems like a crapshoot regardless of research. Half of the ones I go in on make money, the other half lose it, which leads me to believe I may as well toss darts at a release list rather than go through the trouble of doing the research that I do.

I look at the gains you make week to week and think, "How the -- ???" It's very, very impressive :-)

Having spent 13 years to get to $200 million but significantly less to do the next $158 i may not be an expert blaze223 Jun 05, 11:22

I would say constantly assessing where I'm at in the game helps me alfpaulytd2012 Jun 05, 12:32

i'd say that JSEGE and the other 2 big % bonds yesterday were more circumstance driven alfpaulytd2012 Jun 05, 13:58

Part of the fun of the game is to adjust your strategy as your port grows... slappydavid Jun 05, 13:17

Yeah, for a while slappy and I had the same strategy and did really well, but it gets exhausting and you start having lots of cash lay aroun PRodNano Jun 05, 13:24

The "old strategy" was what exactly? If you don;t me asking, that is.. {nm} Dave3626 Jun 05, 13:27

What was the adjustment that you made? {nm} Dave3626 Jun 05, 13:26

I basically started investing in openers some months in advance... slappydavid Jun 05, 13:48

You're stuck in a rut? That's interesting because we started our accounts at nearly the same time and we have almost the same $. 121Jigowatts Jun 05, 14:19
