With anyone who predicts box office, there are uncanny accuracies and bizarre misses. You could chart all of the predictions to come up with
the many different variances between predictors. HSX is a predictor as well. Using HSX as an example, sometimes it is Spot On! Other times, seems to miss. Chick and african american flicks have been pretty big misses in the past. Overestimation of fan boy picks. And then, there are some flicks you just cannot estimate enough like Avatar. Horror flicks tend to be undervalued a few months out. Summer horror flicks have been regular good buys for me in the past. I haven't paid enough attention to this year's offerings to make any assumptions there though.
