Below is a link to a post I made some years ago with advice to what I call "Casual Players", those who don't spend all day playing this game.  I still follow these strategies myself with the exception of Penny Stocks.  Those don't seem to be as viable anymore mostly because very few stocks get that low in price anymore.  I'm sure others will have advice as well.  Listen to them, pick the ones that make sense to you and work for you.  There are also fan websites that are very valuable resources.  Look under the Community menu for the HSX FAN SITES for some of these.
